WHAT IS A BENEFACTOR?

When you purchase art from a Registered Artist you automatically come a Benefactor and nfwfwf is grateful to have you in the Artists & Benefactors Program. You may also register as a Benefactor (with no obligation to purchase) in order to receive special mailings and invitations from the artists.

WHAT IS A REGISTERED ARTIST?

A Registered Artist has submitted a Registration Form and agreed to donate 40% of the sale price of all artwork purchased by nfwfwf members and their friends to nfwfwf. Registered Artists also have a portfolio page on the nfwfwf website.

HOW TO PURCHASE ART

Purchases will be made directly by Benefactors from Registered Artists enrolled in the Artists & Benefactors program. You can get a feel for artists’ work by viewing the portfolio pages on this site. If you would like to see more work by a particular artist, link to their personal website, if they have one, or contact them directly. Their work can also be viewed in our shows and in studio visits which will be held throughout the year. By filling out a short Benefactor form we can add your name to our list to receive special mailings, announcements, and invitations from the artists.

Work purchased by Benefactors from Registered Artists is subject to the 60%-to-artist/40%-to-nfwfwf arrangement.

A check for 40% of the price of the artwork is made out to nfwfwf and is a tax deductible donation. A second check for 60% of the price of the artwork, plus any applicable taxes on 60% of the sale, is made out to the artist. Both checks are given to the artist or the artist representative.

HOW TO SELL ART

Registered Artists will have a portfolio page on this website showing a few examples of their work, a brief bio, and contact information. By registering, the artist agrees to the 60%-to-artist/40%-to-nfwfwf distribution of the price of a sale of the artwork to a Benefactor for as long as the artist chooses to remain registered in the program. nfwfwf will not judge the merits of Artists’ work. Professionals and amateurs may register, and we welcome both. The Artists & Benefactors program is an opportunity to sell art to nfwfwf members and their friends, and to raise funds for nfwfwf. What constitutes ’art’ is up to you and may include drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, assemblage, photography, mixed-media, crafts, design, floral work, fashion, book-arts, etc.
